Abstract

The presence of teachers is an important component in the smooth learning process in elementary schools. However, the manual attendance system that is still used at SDN 1 South Pringsewu is considered less efficient, prone to errors, and requires a long recap time. This community service activity aims to socialize and introduce an automatic attendance system based on Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) to teachers and education staff. The implementation method is carried out in a participatory manner through the stages of coordination, installation of RFID devices, socialization, training, simulation of use, and evaluation. The results showed that all teachers successfully used the RFID system independently, and there was a significant improvement in the aspects of attendance time efficiency (from 20% to 95%), data accuracy (from 40% to 98%), and user participation (reaching 100%). This activity not only has an impact on improving the quality of attendance administration, but also builds awareness of the importance of using digital technology in the primary education environment. This program can be used as a replication model for other schools that face similar obstacles.
